A note on the visarjan message: send it as its own message two days before, not buried in the original invite. It is the part people most often miss, and it is the part they most regret missing.

A good Ganeshotsav invitation is devotional first and logistical second — but it has to be both, because guests are coming to a specific address at a specific time on one of several days.

The host name — your family name, or your society or mandal name. This is what tells a relative whose Bappa they are being invited to.

The sthapana date and muhurat — Ganesh Chaturthi falls on the Chaturthi of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha, and most families install Bappa at a specific muhurat their priest or panchang gives them. Put the exact time on the card, because guests plan their day around it.

The daily aarti timing — the single most-asked question of the whole festival. If your evening aarti is at 7:30pm every day, say so once on the page and you will never be asked again.
